David is a data analyst at the HCRL and works primarily on diabetes research with Dr. Amy McQueen. His work involves compiling data from surveys and Medicaid claims, which are used in statistical analysis to identify health risks associated with diabetes and other conditions. He is part of a team investigating health and psychosocial outcomes for a basic needs navigation intervention designed to help people with Type 2 Diabetes connect to social resources in their community.
David earned his master’s degree from the University of Nebraska in Omaha in 2018. He has previous experience working in clinical settings, which has sparked his interest in using public health to improve social and psychological outcomes in underserved communities. He enjoys learning new approaches to statistical modeling and data visualization.
David is an avid music fan and enjoys practicing electric guitar in his free time. He likes exploring St. Louis city with his friends and visiting state parks.
