Kelsi Peterson

Graduate Research Assistant

Kelsi (she/her/hers) is a dual degree MPH/MSW student working as a research assistant with the HCRL. She works on the Long COVID pilot project and HCRL’s social media. Kelsi’s responsibilities include conducting literature reviews, data collection, survey drafting, and providing writing support. She also performs administrative tasks and assists with data preparation for qualitative and quantitative analysis.

Kelsi’s primary focus is violence and injury prevention in Social Work and Global Health. She is passionate about health communication with marginalized communities, health disparities, social determinants of health, and maternal and child health. In the future, she plans to work in maternal and child health by addressing health disparities within maternal mortality rates.

Kelsi likes to spend her free time reading, writing music, trying new recipes, and spending time with loved ones.
